Deacon Raymond Edijala, the Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Project Monitoring and a former Transition Committee Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, recently paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Ovie of Udu Kingdom, HRM Emmanuel Bethel Otete Delekpe Esq., Owhorhu I.
During his visit, Edijala expressed his deep sorrow over the passing of the revered monarch.
He described the late Ovie as a pillar of strength for the Udu Kingdom, emphasizing his contributions to the communities in Udu and the lasting legacy he leaves behind.
“HRM Emmanuel Bethel Otete Delekpe Esq., Owhorhu I, was not only a leader but also a father figure to many.
His unwavering commitment to the growth and development of Udu Kingdom will forever be remembered.
“We will do everything within our power and reach to give our Royal Father a befitting burial.
“I want to take this opportunity to console you, the Queen of Udu Kingdom, the princes, princesses, and other family members, that it is only God who knows why he left us at this time. I pray God grants his soul eternal rest,” he stated.
In response, the Queen of Udu Kingdom expressed gratitude for Edijala’s visit, which she described as a source of comfort during this difficult time.
She acknowledged the late Ovie’s profound influence and the unity he fostered among the people of Udu.
“We appreciate your kind words and support. The late Ovie’s vision for our kingdom will continue to guide us, and we must work together to honor his memory,” she remarked.
Deacon Raymond Edijala was accompanied on the visit by numerous friends and political associates.
