Governor Oborevwori Expresses Condolences for Late Udu Monarch, Owhorhu I

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has expressed his heartfelt sympathies to the residents of Udu Kingdom following the passing of their monarch, His Royal Majesty, Barr. Emmanuel Bethel Otete Delekpe, Owhorhu I.

In a condolence message directed to the people of Udu Kingdom and the broader Urhobo community, which was released by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori praised the late king for his exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication to the unity and advancement of his people during his 31 years on the throne.

“On behalf of my family, the Delta State government, and the citizens of our state, I extend my deepest condolences to the family, Udu Kingdom, and the entire Urhobo nation on the demise of His Royal Majesty, Barr. Emmanuel Bethel Otete Delekpe, Owhorhu I.

“His reign was characterized by significant development and unity within the kingdom,” he remarked.

Governor Oborevwori referred to the late monarch as a beacon of wisdom, humility, and peace, recognizing his essential contributions to the cultural and socio-economic growth of Udu Kingdom.

The Governor concluded by offering prayers for a peaceful and divinely directed transition for the kingdom.
