The Director General of Tino Support Group, Comrade Vincent Oghenero Ejeh, has donated chairs and writing materials worth millions of naira to Olomoro Comprehensive High School in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.

In his speech during the donation ceremony, Comrade Ejeh said the importance of education in shaping the future of the youth cannot be overstated.

He emphasized that schools are not merely institutions for academic learning but are also essential environments where character, values, and leadership skills are nurtured.

“Every child deserves access to a conducive learning environment, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that they acquire the necessary tools to thrive,” he noted.

Ejeh emphasized the challenges that schools like Olomoro Comprehensive High School often face, including inadequate infrastructure and limited resources.

He stated, “It is disheartening to witness our children striving for excellence in rooms that do not reflect the standard of education we aspire to provide them. Today, I am proud to contribute towards changing that narrative.”

He encouraged members of the community, local leaders, and other stakeholders to join hands in supporting educational institutions, saying, “Let us not wait for the government alone to provide these amenities. Community-driven initiatives and contributions can bridge the gap in our education system.”

In her response, the Principal of Olomoro Comprehensive High School, Mrs. Florence Omoyibo, stated that it was a memorable day for the school, as before the donations, the major challenge facing it was the lack of seats for the students to sit on.

According to her, “This had led to a situation where most of the students sit on the floor, making the teaching and learning environment very unconducive for both the teachers and students.

“In order to come out of the situation, the school management committee held a meeting with the Parents Teachers Association and other stakeholders to address the pressing issue of students sitting on the floor and other challenges facing the school.

“Surprisingly, after the meeting, Comrade Vincent Oghenero Ejeh promised to donate chairs that can cover five classrooms. It gladdens our hearts to see that the seats have been produced and are here to officially present them to the school.

“On behalf of the staff and students of Olomoro Comprehensive High School, I sincerely appreciate the kind gesture of Comrade Vincent Oghenero Ejeh. This exemplary philanthropic gesture is worthy of emulation.”
