Chief Emamusi Obiodeh, the Delta State Commissioner for Lands, Surveys, and Urban Development, has expressed his gratitude to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the recent renovation of twelve classrooms in Igbide.
The Delta State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has successfully completed renovations on a six-classroom block at Igbide Grammar School and an additional six-classroom block at Owodokpokpo Grammar School, significantly enhancing the infrastructure of these vital educational institutions.
In a statement issued on Monday in Asaba, Commissioner Obiodeh, who hails from Igbide, praised Governor Oborevwori on behalf of the community for his administration’s commitment to improving the educational environment for students.
He conveyed the community’s excitement and highlighted the state government’s ongoing dedication to quality education and infrastructure advancements. Obiodeh noted that these renovations would greatly enhance the standard of education for the community and the state as a whole.
The Commissioner underscored that the newly upgraded classrooms would create a nurturing and effective learning atmosphere for both students and teachers, ultimately promoting academic excellence.
He also urged the citizens of Igbide and Owodokpokpo to take responsibility for maintaining and sustaining the new facilities.
Obiodeh expressed his appreciation for the state government’s prioritization of education as a crucial tool for youth empowerment and societal advancement.
“The successful completion of these classroom renovations is in line with Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, which emphasizes Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security,” Obiodeh noted.
