Hon. Festus Utuama, the Member Representing Ughelli South Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, visited the chairman of Ughelli South Local Government Council, Hon. Dr. Lucky Avweromre, on Sunday to express his condolences on the passing of Avweromre’s mother.
Hon. Utuama was accompanied by fellow politicians, including Hon. Vincent Otidi, the former Council Chairman; Hon. In his condolence message, Utuama offered his sympathies to Avweromre, who is grieving the loss of his mother, who passed away at the age of 91.
Utuama described the late Mrs. Avweromre as a pillar of strength within her immediate community, reflecting on her life and the values she instilled. “Her legacy is one of resilience and dedication,” he noted.
He shared personal anecdotes that illustrated the profound impact she had not just on her family, but also on the wider Ughelli South constituency.
In an emotional moment during the visit, Dr. Avweromre expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from the lawmaker and his entourage. “It brings me solace to see such solidarity,” he said.
He highlighted the significance of the visit in overcoming grief, reiterating that they would honor his mother’s memory by continuing to uphold the values she cherished.
According to him, “the visit was not only a gesture of goodwill but also affirmed the importance of friendship and shared experiences among political associates.”
