Senator Bala Mohammed, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum and Governor of Bauchi State, has praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his impressive infrastructural advancements in Delta State.

Governor Mohammed made his remarks during a state banquet on Thursday evening held in honor of the PDP Governors’ Forum members, just before their scheduled meeting on Friday at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Asaba.

He also recognized the contributions of his fellow governors to the progress of their respective states, asserting that despite the internal challenges facing the party, the PDP continues to be a favored choice among Nigerians.

“Delta State is brimming with projects and serves as a flagship for the PDP in Nigeria. We are a party synonymous with development and effective governance; you can witness our initiatives in every state we touch,” he stated.

“The PDP is grounded in grassroots support and possesses the experience and capability to drive national growth. We are pleased to see our shared success and are immensely thankful for this gathering,” he added.

“As dedicated representatives, we are ready to serve our citizens. We are networking with leaders across the country, not just to engage in discussions but to share knowledge that will enhance the growth of our states.”

Governor Mohammed expressed gratitude to Governor Oborevwori and the people of Delta for their warm hospitality and reassured attendees that the party would emerge from its current challenges more robust than before.

Earlier, Governor Oborevwori welcomed his fellow governors and expressed appreciation for their presence, affirming that the meeting would produce resolutions aimed at uniting both the party and the nation.

“I am delighted to welcome all of you, especially my fellow governors and your teams, to Delta State, which is known as the Big Heart of the nation,” he said.

“Delta State is a reflection of Nigeria’s diversity, home to various ethnic groups. Our strength lies in this diversity, which makes us unique and appealing on a global scale.”

“While our backgrounds may differ, we share similarities in history and culture. Above all, the unity of our nation is paramount, and I am confident that we will strive towards greater unity within our party and across Nigeria.”
