*As Focus Shifts to Supporting Governor Oborevwori’s 2027 Re-Election

Hon. Solomon Ighrakpata, the Executive Chairman of the Delta State Internal Revenue Service, has been named Chairman of the Okpe, Sapele, and Uvwie (OSU) Federal Constituency Steering Committee.
This appointment was confirmed during a meeting on January 27, 2025, at Goldstep Hotel in Okoloba, Effurun, Delta State, where key stakeholders from the OSU Federal Constituency unanimously endorsed Ighrakpata.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Ighrakpata stressed the importance of collaboration among stakeholders, stating, “We must recognize that our efforts go beyond supporting Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori; we are committed to improving our constituency for ourselves and our community.”
He urged all participants to unite in their support for Governor Oborevwori, emphasizing, “The Governor represents all Deltans, but as our own, it is our responsibility to ensure his success and re-election in 2027. This is a project we must undertake together.”
Olorogun Barr. Kingsley Esiso, the convener of the meeting and former Delta State PDP Chairman, praised Governor Oborevwori’s administration for its accomplishments in infrastructure and human capital development.
He called upon PDP members in the OSU Federal Constituency and throughout the state to provide robust support to the Governor, who has delivered projects across all three senatorial districts.
Esiso encouraged the newly appointed committee members to view their roles as both a privilege and a commitment to public service, urging them to enhance party unity at every level.
Others elected as Steering Committee members are as follows: Vice Chairman, Hon. Austin Ayemidejor; Secretary, Hon. Ramson Ikweki; Treasurer, Dr. (Mrs.) Augustina Erah; Financial Secretary, Hon. Eugene Inoaghan; Organizing Secretary, Hon. Ramson Onoyake; Publicity Secretary, Chief Benson Okorodudu;
Also, the following coordinators and deputies were appointed: Sapele LGA, Hon. Bright Abeke (Coordinator); Mr. Ejiro Tommy Jamani (Deputy Coordinator); Okpe LGA, Hon. Isaiah Esiovwa (Coordinator); Hon. Rose Ezewu (Deputy Coordinator); Uvwie LGA, Hon. Ofoni Tony (Coordinator); Hon. Sunny Ekedayen (Deputy Coordinator).
Hon. Perkins Umukoro and Hon. James Augoye were designated as ex-officio members, while Olorogun Barr. Kingsley Esiso was confirmed as the Patron/Adviser of the committee.
The meeting, attended by representatives from Okpe, Sapele, and Uvwie local government areas, strengthened a collective commitment to supporting Governor Oborevwori’s administration and his re-election campaign in 2027.
