Oborevwori Celebrates THISDAY Newspaper’s 30th Anniversary

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Publisher, Prince Nduka Obaigbena, and the management team of THISDAY Newspapers on the occasion of the media organization’s 30th anniversary.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, Governor Oborevwori praised THISDAY for its significant contributions to the media landscape, noting the publication’s commitment to quality journalism and impactful reporting.

Reflecting on the newspaper’s legacy, the governor highlighted its debut on January 22, 1995, and its impressive track record in the industry. He noted that THISDAY has earned the prestigious title of Newspaper-of-the-Year on three separate occasions and made history in 1997 as the first Nigerian newspaper to print in full color.

“On behalf of the Delta State government and its people, I offer my congratulations to Prince Nduka Obaigbena, the management, and the dedicated staff of THISDAY Newspapers as they celebrate this remarkable milestone,” stated Oborevwori.

He added, “As a government and proud citizens of Delta, we are honored by THISDAY’s significant achievements and its vital role as a watchdog of society.

“As we commemorate your 30th anniversary, we wish you continued success and numerous accomplishments in the years to come.”
