The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, emphasized the crucial role of the Armed Forces in maintaining peace, stability, and security throughout Nigeria, describing their contributions as unforgettable.
In a goodwill message commemorating the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, Rt. Hon. Guwor honored the brave individuals who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the nation.
He acknowledged their selflessness, courage, and loyalty, which serve as a source of inspiration for all Nigerians, while also recognizing the sacrifices made by the families and loved ones of these heroes.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker remarked, “As a nation, we must continue to support our Armed Forces and veterans, ensuring that their welfare remains a priority.”
As the National Treasurer of the Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Guwor stressed the importance of creating an environment conducive to peace, unity, and prosperity, noting that every stakeholder has a role to play in this effort.
He reaffirmed the Delta State House of Assembly’s commitment to working alongside the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, to strengthen collaboration with the Armed Forces, highlighting the governor’s ongoing support for their operations in the state.
As the nation pays tribute to its fallen heroes, the Speaker urged all Nigerians to honor their memory by striving to build a better future for the country.
