The Chief Press Secretary to Delta State Governor, Sir Festus Ahon, has addressed rumors regarding the Governor’s purported plans to defect to another political party, labeling them as unfounded and fabricated by opposition elements in the state.

In a statement released in Asaba, Ahon noted that certain factions within the opposition feel threatened by Governor Oborevwori’s growing popularity and his efforts to foster connections across political lines.

He explained that the Governor remains dedicated to collaborating with the federal government to ensure the overall welfare of Deltans and the nation as a whole.

According to Ahon, Governor Oborevwori has no motive to switch parties, given his strong support within the PDP and the backing of well-meaning Deltans and residents.

He emphasized that the Governor is focused on delivering the MORE Agenda, as promised during his campaign.

Ahon urged the people of Delta State to disregard these circulating rumors, asserting that they stem from the actions of mischief-makers and those seeking to undermine the administration.
