Former councilor for the Ughelli South Local Government Council Legislative Arm, Hon. Omejevwe Duku, has sadly passed away.
He was confirmed dead on Saturday, January 4, 2025.
Olorogun Raymond Temisere, the Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ughelli South Local Government Area, shared the news in a with DAILY SHINE.
He stated that Hon. Duku died in the early hours of Saturday while driving in Warri.
On behalf of the PDP in Ughelli South, Olorogun Temisere extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the former legislator, stating, “We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Hon. Duku, a dedicated party member.
“His commitment to uplifting the people of Ughelli South will not be forgotten, and we stand with his family during this difficult time”, he added.
A reliable source informed our correspondent that a bystander who witnessed the incident attempted to assist Hon. Duku as he struggled to control his vehicle but unfortunately could not save him before medical help arrived.
Hon. Omejevwe Duku hailed from Effurun-Otor in the Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.
