The Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated elder statesman, Chief Godwin Ogbetuo in celebration of his 93rd birthday on Friday 3rd January, 2025.
In a statement issued through his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the Governor praised Ogbetuo for his unwavering dedication to the pursuit of good governance and accountability within the state and the nation.
Governor Oborevwori expressed his hope for the emergence of more leaders in Delta and Nigeria who will emulate Ogbetuo’s exemplary qualities, highlighting the nonagenarian as a figure of true statesmanship and selflessness.
“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Delta State, I wish to congratulate our esteemed father and leader, Chief Godwin Ogbetuo, on reaching this remarkable milestone of 93 years,” he stated.
“Your distinguished service as an elder statesman and your patriotism have significantly contributed to the development and stability of Delta State and Nigeria as a whole.
“As a former chairman of the Delta Elders and Leaders Forum, your exceptional wisdom and steadfast courage have been invaluable, particularly in supporting my journey to the governorship.
“We are deeply grateful for your active role in the political evolution and growth of Delta State.
“As you celebrate your 93rd birthday today, I join your family, friends, and admirers in expressing gratitude to the Almighty for your life, while praying for your continued good health, wisdom, guidance, protection, and abundant blessings.”
