Tatcha Farms has expressed its appreciation for Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, in light of his recent initiative to improve food production and sustainability through the construction of the Okuloho community road in Okpe Local Government Area.
Chief Alfred Mrakpor, the Chairman and CEO of Tatcha Farms, highlighted the project’s significance in advancing agricultural development within the state.
This acknowledgment came during Tatcha Farms’ annual end-of-year celebration, held at the farm, which was organized to honor and reward exemplary staff and to strengthen relationships with partners and customers.
Mr. Clever Ogheneovo was awarded the prestigious “Star of the Year” title, recognizing him as the face of Tatcha Farms for 2025.
During his address, Chief Mrakpor praised the dedication of the staff, who have remained committed to the organization’s values despite the challenging economic climate in the country.
He also noted that as part of Tatcha Farms’ commitment to social responsibility, Chief Mrs. Esther Mrakpor, Managing Director of Tatcha Farms LTD, generously provided bundles of wrappers and other relief items for the women and residents of the local community.
In her welcoming remarks, Chief Esther Mrakpor, represented by her daughter Oghenemeseri Mrakpor, emphasized that exceptional customer service remains a cornerstone of the business strategy for 2024.
She acknowledged the difficulties posed by inflation but indicated that the organization has made considerable progress, including the construction of a new facility designed to house 30,000 birds as part of their expansion plans.
This project also serves to honor the memories of significant family figures, including Christiana Oluku, Olorogun Mike Ereumu, and Mrs. Esiso Mrakpor.
The Managing Director further outlined the organization’s vision for 2025, focusing on achieving self-sufficiency and establishing an automated brooding house that will enhance production and operational efficiency.
“We are also in the process of setting up an organic manure factory, which will convert poultry waste into organic fertilizer to support local crop farmers and enhance Tatcha Farms’ crop extension initiatives,” she said.
“Our goal is to generate enough organic manure to meet the demands of Delta State and beyond. Planning and design for this facility are already underway.”
“This initiative is a critical step toward sustainable agricultural practices in our country. It is heartening to note that there are organic solutions inherent in every aspect of the poultry value chain.”
“I invite everyone to explore this potential. With God’s grace, I hope to announce the successful completion of these projects at next year’s celebration.
Together, we are committed to building a brighter and more sustainable future for Tatcha Farms and our community,” she declared.
Additionally, Chief Peter Esievo, CEO of EVOMEC Global Services Limited, commended Tatcha Farms for its contributions to national development, particularly in food security.
He assured the organization of his ongoing support and encouraged staff members to remain focused on the organization’s vision.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including industry leaders, government officials, and Hon. Festus Utuama, the member representing Ughelli South constituency in the State Assembly, among others.
Guests were entertained by music legends such as Duncan Mighty and King Enakpodia, adding to the festive atmosphere of the occasion.
