Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, expressed his gratitude to the people of Delta for their cooperation and commitment to peace and unity, while promising that 2025 will bring greater blessings, development, and prosperity to the state.

Governor Oborevwori shared this message during the 2024 Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, organized by the Government House Chapel in Asaba.

He emphasized that the carol event serves as a vital occasion for prayers focused on the unity and progress of both the state and the nation.

The Governor praised the collaborative efforts among the three branches of government in Delta, stating that residents can expect increased development in the coming year.

“This event has become a cherished tradition where we gather with our churches to celebrate this season,” he remarked. “It provides us with an opportunity to unite and pray for the success and solidarity of our state and our country, Nigeria. This season is one of celebration, and we look forward to entering the new year with hope and joy.”

He added, “I want to take this chance to thank the people of Delta for their cooperation, peace, and support. I assure you that in 2025, we will experience even more blessings, development, unity, and prosperity in Delta State.”

“The key takeaway today is the importance of our unity as a state. Unlike what is happening in many other places, we are fortunate to maintain this harmony. For the sake of our state, let us continue to collaborate in building a prosperous Delta.”

In his address, the Chaplain of the Government House Chapel, Ven. Charles Osemenam, highlighted that the birth of Jesus Christ has transformed the world, bringing joy to humankind. He pointed out that sin and disobedience can lead to destruction, urging Christians to remain steadfast in their faith for their salvation.
