Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, presented the 2025 budget of N936 billion to the State House of Assembly on Thursday for review and approval.
The Governor arrived at the Assembly complex around 10 a.m. and was greeted with enthusiastic cheers from the staff.
The assembly personnel expressed their excitement by singing and dancing to celebrate his visit.
During his presentation of the appropriation bill, titled “Budget of Fiscal Consolidation,” Governor Oborevwori emphasized the budget’s focus on human capital development and infrastructure initiatives.
The budget allocates the largest portion, N230 billion, to road infrastructure. Other significant allocations include N67.42 billion for education, N30.55 billion for health, N11.03 billion for water resources, and N7 billion for agriculture.
