The executive chairman of Bomadi Local Government Area in Delta State, Hon. Rawlings Dagidi Andaye, has hosted a special event to honor retired service chiefs, esteemed elder statesmen, and influential individuals from Bomadi who have made notable contributions to the nation.
Held at the council secretariat in Bomadi, the occasion was attended by distinguished guests, including natives living in various parts of the country, who were celebrated by Hon. Andaye’s administration for their dedication to public service.
During the event, Hon. Andaye sought the collaboration of these seasoned leaders in his administration’s efforts to bring about transformative development in the Bomadi area. He expressed profound gratitude to the honored guests for their willingness to support and serve their community.
He highlighted their sacrifices and unwavering commitment to the nation, stating that their extensive knowledge and experience are crucial for the positive transformation of the Bomadi Local Government Area.
“As one of the oldest local governments in Delta State, we look to your wealth of experience to shape the future of our communities and help change the narrative that has long affected our council,” Hon. Andaye remarked.
He encouraged the elder statesmen to actively engage in political processes, mentor emerging leaders, and spearhead community development initiatives, urging them to use their expertise to contribute to the growth and progress of Bomadi.
To formalize and enhance collaboration with the council, Hon. Andaye proposed the creation of the “Bomadi Local Government Security and Advisory Council” (BOLGSAC) aimed at addressing pressing challenges such as insecurity and economic difficulties currently facing the nation.
The inaugural members of BOLGSAC include AIG Asayamo Tuesday (rtd) as Chairman, along with Assayomo Ojobokeme (rtd Assistant Comptroller, Immigration), Barr. D. Singer (FRSC), ASP Roland Nisiama (rtd), Oweibena Benson (rtd Wing Officer), CSP (Dr.) Benson Dunu (rtd), DSC Anesah Mamako Michael (rtd), and Odubolu Ambrose E. (rtd Assistant Comptroller, Customs).
Other members include DSP Opori Areyebo (rtd), James S. Enai (Permanent Secretary, DTSG, rtd), Andy Osagie (rtd DSS), Col. Sonny Olorogun (rtd), Ojokai George (rtd Air Warrant Officer 1), ASP Augustine E. Sagbegha (rtd), SP Ebikeme Musah (rtd), Dr. Macauley Denghan Ray (JP), and Chief F. W. Edonkumoh.
In their response, the Chairman of BOLGSAC, AIG Asayamo Tuesday (rtd), expressed a unified commitment from all members to work closely with Hon. Andaye and his administration to elevate Bomadi to new heights. He emphasized that their primary focus would be on addressing security concerns and promoting economic growth within the council area.
