The chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, has been lauded on his development strides in his 100 days in office.

Comrade Tako Oshoghene Daniel, (a.k.a Mayor of Udu), who made this known in a press release, expressed his sincere congratulations to Olorogun Oyibode, commending his visionary and purposeful leadership.

According to the release, “His administration has demonstrated a firm commitment to growth, prioritizing areas such as infrastructure enhancement, peace promotion, and environmental stewardship, all of which have positively influenced the Udu community”.

Tako emphasized the Chairman’s proactive approach in tackling pressing issues affecting the community and noted that the initiatives launched have already begun to alleviate long-standing challenges in the region.

He noted, “A standout achievement in this early phase has been the administration’s focus on road rehabilitation.

“Significant improvements have been made to previously neglected roads, particularly around Ovwian Secondary School, Daddy’s Bakery, and Ubogo Market.

“These enhancements have notably improved accessibility for residents and stimulated economic activities by facilitating smoother transport routes within Udu.

“The Chairman has played a vital role in conflict resolution, notably in the communities of Opete, Okpaka, and Ogbe-Udu.

“His effective mediation efforts have fostered peace and stability—essential components for sustainable development—enabling a conducive environment for growth.

“Traffic management has also been a key focus, with improvements made to ease congestion at critical intersections such as Ubogo Market, Express Junction, and Jigbale Market/Orhuwhorun Junction.

“These enhancements not only promote road safety but also enhance the flow of business, benefiting both traders and commuters.

“Under Olorogun Oyibode’s leadership, the council has embarked on significant infrastructural initiatives, including the construction of a modern office for the Executive Chairman, complete with an executive chamber and a council chapel.

“Moreover, the acquisition of essential office equipment and vehicles has equipped key council officials—including the Secretary, HPM, Treasurer, and Legislative Leader—to perform their responsibilities more effectively.

“Among the notable outcomes of these first 100 days are the ongoing construction of the Chairman’s office and chapel, the procurement of four official vehicles for council personnel, critical road repairs, and the resolution of internal conflicts.

“Modern office equipment has been acquired, essential musical instruments for the chapel have been secured, and traffic congestion in vital business areas has notably decreased”.

Tako hailed these accomplishments as a testament to the Chairman’s commitment to transforming Udu’s narrative and leading the local government toward a prosperous future.

He expressed confidence in Olorogun Oyibode’s capacity to fulfill his promises, suggesting that the progress achieved thus far is merely a glimpse of what is yet to come.

Tako extended his best wishes for the Chairman’s ongoing success, expressing optimism that Udu Kingdom will witness an even more significant transformation under Olorogun Oyibode’s guidance.
