On Monday, September 23, 2024, a significant event took place as Olorogun Engr. Matthew Onokpasa was honored with the prestigious title of Aghoghophia r’ovie of Great Ogor Kingdom.
His wife, Chief Mrs. Brigid Onokpasa, also received the distinguished title of Ivie r’ovie of Great Ogor Kingdom.
To mark this momentous occasion, Chief Engr. Onokpasa awarded scholarships to eight exceptional secondary school students from various communities within the kingdom.
This initiative aims to encourage educational growth and development in the region.
The scholarship recipients are: Okotie Judith from Oviri Ogor; Favour Omakpokpoes from Edjekota Ogor; Gavis Enameguono Orhiunu from Otogor; Eretarhe Ogheneriobome from Igwre Ovie; Favour Marvin Oghenetejiri from Oviri Ogor; Samuel Josephine from Otogor; James Oghenenyerhovwo Great from Edjekota Ogor and Princess Okiemute Onajite Igere.
These scholarships, contingent upon the students’ academic achievements, will significantly aid in their pursuit of secondary education.
Both parents and students expressed deep gratitude to Olorogun Engr. Matthew Onokpasa JP for his generous support.
HRM Onajite Okiemute Igere 1, Ovie of Ogor Kingdom, commended Olorogun Onokpasa for his unwavering dedication to education and offered prayers for his continued health and prosperity.
