Olorogun Godwin Okporoko, a prominent youth leader in Delta State, has expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Tantita Security Services (TSS), a local security surveillance outfit owned by former militant leader, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, in effectively securing oil pipelines in the Niger Delta.
Okporoko delivered his commendation at Otu-Jeremi, the headquarters of Ughelli South Local Government Area in Delta State.
He acknowledged that the company’s actions in combating illegal crude oil bunkering in the region have significantly increased oil production in the country.
He highlighted the previous prevalence of pipeline vandalism and oil theft, which not only harmed the environment and local communities but also resulted in billions of dollars in lost revenue for the country.
Okporoko emphasized that Tantita is addressing the issue of illegal oil bunkering through a comprehensive and inclusive strategy that aims to not only halt this illicit activity but also educate and engage those involved on the importance of ceasing their nefarious actions.
“I encourage all Niger Delta residents to support this project, and I urge the Federal Government to continue to sustain it.
With a team of highly trained personnel and state-of-the-art technology, Tantita is determined to detect and prevent oil theft and reduce the environmental consequences of oil pollution.
“I commend the company and its owner, Ekpemupolo, for their achievements and urge them to build upon the company’s present achievements to further increase Nigeria’s oil production”, he added.
