Orerokpe, the headquarters of Okpe Local Government Area in Delta State, and the ancient town of Oha were filled with confusion and grief on Monday as news spread of the sudden death of Mr. Friday, a former youth leader of the Oha Community.
His life was tragically cut short in a horrifying motor accident on the busy Effurun, Orerokpe, Eku road.
The fatal incident occurred around 12pm near a filling station in Orerokpe, at a sharp bend.
It involved a collision between a truck and the motorbike on which Mr. Friday was riding.
DAILY SHINE correspondent, who visited the Orerokpe General Hospital to gather information on the victim, witnessed a large gathering of sympathizers, mainly comprising youths from Orerokpe and Oha.
It has been reported that the youth leader suffered fatal injuries to his forehead and legs, resulting in instantaneous death.
Several sympathizers expressed their deep sorrow over the untimely demise of the youth leader and offered prayers for strength and resilience for the Oha Community and his family to cope with this irreparable loss.
