Honorable Doris Uboh MNSE, the Executive Director of the Rural Electrification Fund and former member of the House of Representatives, has extended her warm congratulations to Obi (Prof) Epiphany Chibuogu Azinge SAN OON, the former Director-General of the National Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, on his selection as the Asagba of Asaba Designate, poised to become the paramount traditional ruler.
Hon. Uboh praised the people and traditional institution of Asaba for their selection of Prof Azinge, highlighting his significant contributions to the field of law and legal practice on a global scale.
She expressed, “I offer my heartfelt congratulations to Obi Prof Epiphany Chibuogu Azinge SAN on his nomination and forthcoming ascension as the 14th Asagba of Asaba Designate, chosen by the traditional ruling class and the community of Asaba.
“The selection of Prof Azinge is truly commendable, given his impressive credentials that align with the esteemed position of a traditional ruler in Delta State and Nigeria.
“Obi (Prof) Azinge is a highly respected legal expert known worldwide for his impactful contributions.
“Furthermore, his dedication to his people is unmistakable, particularly through his leadership of the Asaba Development Union Worldwide, which has played a significant role in the rejuvenation of the historic city.
In her closing remarks, the Director of REF offered her prayers for a successful installation ceremony and a reign characterized by peace and prosperity.
“With the appointment of Obi Prof Epiphany Azinge SAN as the future Asagba of Asaba, I fervently pray that the people of Asaba are blessed with a smooth coronation ceremony and a reign that ushers in prosperity and advancement for the city,” Hon. Uboh concluded.
